Injection Moulding Machine for Poultry Drinkers
Poultry drinkers, including jar-and-base drinkers and hanging bell drinkers, are moulded in PP or PE on horizontal injection moulding machines. Jar height, bell diameter and the threaded or locking joint decide mould height, opening stroke and clamping force. Leak-free sealing between jar and base matters most, because a drinker that drips wets the litter.
Machine selection for poultry drinkers centres on deep moulds, thread release and steady shrinkage at the sealing joint. Pratishna Engineers supplies horizontal injection moulding machines for poultry drinker production and can recommend a configuration for your drinker design.

Machine Requirements for Poultry Drinker Moulding
A drinker holds water for days and is refilled often, so its joints and walls set these moulding needs:
- Clean thread or lock geometry on jar and base
- Unscrewing core or slides for threaded drinker jars
- No sink or weld lines across sealing rims
- Daylight and stroke for tall jars and bell bodies
- Small precise shots for drinker valve parts
- Translucent natural PP where the water level must show
Recommended Machine for Poultry Drinkers
Valve parts and small chick drinker bases suit the E Series (75-180 T). Larger jars, bell drinker bodies and trough bases need more mould height and shot weight. An unscrewing mechanism adds to mould size too, so these moulds are usually matched to the H Series (120-350 T) or a C Series (140-320 T) machine.

FAQs / Buyer Questions
Points drinker manufacturers check before committing to a mould and machine.
Which Injection Moulding Machine Is Used to Make Poultry Drinkers?
Valve parts and small drinkers run on the E Series. Large jars and bell bodies need the C or H Series for mould height and shot capacity, with the size set by the tallest mould. Why Do Jar and Base Drinkers Leak at the Joint?
Leaks often come from ovality in the thread, sink on a thick rim or a weld line through the sealing face. Even wall thickness, correct gate position and steady holding pressure help. How Is the Thread on a Drinker Jar Released From the Mould?
An internal thread uses an unscrewing core driven by a motor or rack, or a collapsible core. External threads use split cavity slides. The method adds to mould height and must fit the machine.
Can Drinkers Be Moulded in Translucent Material?
Yes. Natural PP gives a translucent jar so the water level can be seen. Colour can be kept to the base, and a clean barrel and purge avoid streaks on the clear part. Can Pratishna Recommend a Machine for My Poultry Drinker?
Yes. Share each drinker part drawing or sample, material, part weight, mould dimensions including height and your daily quantity, and Pratishna Engineers will recommend a machine.Does the Machine Suit Other Poultry Parts Too?
Yes. Poultry feeders, poultry nipple drinkers, chick or poultry feed trays and livestock ear tags can run on these machines when the mould fits.
