Injection Moulding Machine for Spray Pump Parts
Spray pump parts for agricultural sprayers are made on horizontal injection moulding machines, with PP for chambers, caps and handles and POM or nylon for pistons, valves and levers. Machine size depends on the largest housing, its shot weight and mould height, and on cavities for small valve parts. Round, flash-free sealing bores matter most.
Machine selection for spray pump parts covers a mix of large housings and small precision parts, often in different materials on the same line. Pratishna Engineers supplies horizontal injection moulding machines for sprayer component production and can recommend a configuration for your parts list.

Machine Requirements for Spray Pump Part Moulding
A sprayer pump has to hold pressure and resist farm chemicals, which shapes the moulding needs for its parts:
- Round pump cylinder bores with no ovality or sink
- Flash-free sealing faces on valve seats and caps
- Screw and barrel suited to PP, POM and nylon
- Drying for nylon pistons, levers and lance parts
- Grades that resist pesticides and fertiliser solutions
- Core pulls or unscrewing cores for threaded pressure chambers
Recommended Machine for Spray Pump Parts
Pistons, valve seats, nozzles and levers in POM or nylon are small shots for an E Series (75-180 T) machine with multi-cavity tools. Pump chambers, pressure chambers and handle assemblies in PP carry higher shot weight and taller moulds, and usually go to the C Series (140-320 T). The H Series (120-350 T) covers the largest chamber moulds.

FAQs / Buyer Questions
Questions sprayer component makers bring to our engineers.
Which Injection Moulding Machine Is Used to Make Spray Pump Parts?
Small pistons, valves and nozzles fit the E Series. Chambers and housings with larger shot weight move to the C or H Series, so a sprayer plant often runs two machine sizes.Which Spray Pump Parts Need POM or Nylon?
Moving and wearing parts such as pistons, valve poppets, levers and trigger parts use POM or nylon for low friction and stiffness. Static parts like chambers, caps and handles are usually PP.How Is a Round Pump Cylinder Bore Achieved?
Even wall thickness around the bore, balanced gating and good core cooling keep it round. A thick section next to the bore causes sink and ovality that lets the piston seal leak.
Can One Machine Run Several Sprayer Parts?
Yes, if shot weight and mould size fall in its range. Plan the colour change and purge between materials, and keep POM and nylon jobs separate from long PP runs to avoid contamination. Can Pratishna Recommend a Machine for My Spray Pump Part?
Yes. Share each part drawing or sample, material, part weight, mould dimensions, cavities and annual quantity, and Pratishna Engineers will recommend machine sizes.Does the Machine Suit Other Irrigation and Farm Parts Too?
Yes. Similar machines can produce venturi fertilizer injectors, irrigation valves, irrigation cocks and sprinkler components.
