Injection Moulding Machine for Baby Potties and Training Toilets

Baby potties and training toilet seats are moulded on horizontal injection moulding machines in PP or HDPE, as a body, removable pot and seat ring. Projected area of the body, its depth and the mould height decide machine size. Warpage control matters most, because a twisted seat ring or rocking base shows at once on a flat floor.

Machine selection for potties weighs platen size and opening stroke for a deep body, shot capacity for heavy walls and cooling that keeps the base flat. Pratishna Engineers supplies horizontal injection moulding machines for potty parts and can recommend a configuration.

Machine Requirements for Baby Potty Moulding

A potty is a large, rounded part that must sit flat and wash clean. The machine should handle:

  • Large projected area of the one-piece potty body
  • Mould height and stroke for a deep pot and bowl
  • Even cooling so the base and seat ring stay flat
  • Ribs under the seat designed to avoid sink marks
  • Smooth inner pot surface that releases and cleans easily
  • Textured outer face and bright masterbatch colours

Recommended Machine for Baby Potties

Removable pots, splash guards and trainer seat inserts fit the E Series (75-180 T). One-piece potty bodies and full trainer seats usually need a C Series (140-320 T) machine, or an H Series (120-350 T) machine, chosen by projected area and mould height. Larger potty chair moulds beyond this range can be discussed on request.

FAQs / Buyer Questions

Questions potty and trainer seat makers ask when sizing a machine.

  • Which Injection Moulding Machine Is Used to Make Baby Potties?
C and H Series machines cover most potty bodies and trainer seats, with the E Series used for pots, guards and inserts. Bigger potty chair moulds are reviewed case by case.
  • Is PP or HDPE Used for Potty Bodies?
PP is common for its stiffness, gloss and heat resistance during cleaning. HDPE gives more impact toughness at low temperature but shrinks more, so mould and process settings differ between the two.
  • How Is a Deep Potty Released From the Mould?
Generous draft on the pot walls, a polished core and air poppets or a stripper plate help the deep bowl leave the core without stress whitening. Opening stroke must clear the full depth.
  • Why Does a Trainer Seat Warp After Moulding?
A long ring with uneven wall thickness cools unevenly and pulls out of plane. Multiple gates, balanced cooling and enough holding pressure reduce warpage, and a cooling fixture can help on thin seats.
  • Can Pratishna Recommend a Machine for My Baby Potty?
Yes. Share the potty drawings or samples, PP or HDPE grade, part weights, mould dimensions, opening stroke and planned volume, and Pratishna Engineers will recommend a machine.
  • Does the Machine Suit Other Large Baby Care Parts Too?
Yes. Machines of this size can also mould baby chair parts, suction plates, milk powder containers and stroller parts, depending on the mould.
