Injection Moulding Machine for Nasal Aspirators

Nasal aspirator parts are made on horizontal injection moulding machines, with PP nozzles, collection chambers and connectors in multi-cavity moulds and soft silicone tips or bulbs made as LSR parts. Machine size follows cavity count and shot weight. Core pin alignment matters most, as long thin cores in the nozzle can deflect and leave uneven walls.

For aspirators, machine selection centres on precise small shots, steady injection for thin hollow nozzles and clean handling of PP for a hygienic product. Pratishna Engineers supplies horizontal injection moulding machines for aspirator parts and can recommend a configuration.

Machine Requirements for Nasal Aspirator Moulding

Aspirator parts are small, hollow and used close to the skin, so moulding has to stay clean and accurate. The machine should support:

  • Small shot weight with accurate dosing per cavity
  • Long core pins held concentric for even nozzle walls
  • Venting at the nozzle tip to avoid burn marks
  • Smooth, flash-free tip edges for skin contact
  • Clarified PP where the chamber must be see-through
  • Clean moulding area and material handling as buyer practice

Recommended Machine for Nasal Aspirators

Nozzles, chambers and connectors are light parts, so the E Series (75-180 T) covers most aspirator moulds, multi-cavity tools included. Hot runner moulds with many cavities, or family moulds that group chamber, nozzle and cap, suit the H Series (120-350 T). Silicone tips and bulbs are LSR parts made on a separate process.

FAQs / Buyer Questions

Short answers to the questions aspirator makers ask most.

  • Which Injection Moulding Machine Is Used to Make Nasal Aspirators?
Small-tonnage machines suit aspirator parts. E Series machines handle most nozzle and chamber moulds, and H Series machines are chosen when cavity count on a hot runner raises clamping force and shot needs.
  • Why Do Aspirator Nozzles Show Uneven Wall Thickness?
A long core pin forming the bore can shift under injection pressure. A core supported at both ends, a balanced gate and steady injection speed keep the wall even around the tip.
  • Can Aspirator Chambers Be Made Clear in PP?
Yes, with a clarified PP grade and a polished cavity. Clarity also depends on mould temperature and even wall thickness, so the part and tool need to be set up for it.
  • Are the Soft Tip and Bulb Moulded on These Machines?
No. Soft silicone tips and squeeze bulbs are LSR parts with their own process. These machines make the rigid PP parts that the silicone fits onto.
  • Can Pratishna Recommend a Machine for My Nasal Aspirator?
Yes. Share the part drawings or samples, PP grade, part weights, mould size, cavity count and production target, and Pratishna Engineers will recommend a suitable machine.
  • Does the Machine Suit Other Baby Hygiene Parts Too?
Yes. The same class of machine can run breast pump connectors, pacifier shields, feeding bottle caps and baby carrier buckles, subject to each mould.
