Injection Moulding Machine for Dosing Pump Heads, Injection Quills and Foot Valves
Dosing pump heads, injection quills and foot valves are moulded on horizontal injection moulding machines from PP, PVDF or PVC, chosen by the chemical being dosed. Pump head size, cavity count and the screw type for the resin decide the machine. Getting a flat diaphragm seal face and round check valve seats is the process point that counts.
Machine selection for dosing parts turns on the resin, since PVC and PVDF need a corrosion-resistant screw and barrel and close temperature control. Pratishna Engineers supplies horizontal injection moulding machines for dosing pump parts and can recommend a configuration for your chemical range.

Machine Requirements for Dosing Pump Part Moulding
A dosing pump meters accurately only if its head seals and its check valves close on every stroke. Check for:
- Corrosion-resistant screw and barrel for PVC and PVDF
- Flat diaphragm seal faces on the pump head
- Round, flash-free check valve seats for dosing accuracy
- Resin matched to hypochlorite, acid or antiscalant duty
- Short residence time and clean purging for PVC
- Long core support for slender injection quill bodies
Recommended Machine for Dosing Pump Parts
Quill bodies, foot valve parts and check valve housings are small mouldings that suit E Series (75-180 T) machines or the Hybrid PH (120-140 T). Larger pump heads or multi-cavity tools run on the C Series (140-320 T), and the H Series (120-350 T) covers the largest. For PVC or PVDF, the screw and barrel specification matters as much as tonnage.

FAQs / Buyer Questions
Questions dosing pump makers raise before choosing a machine.
Which Injection Moulding Machine Is Used to Make Dosing Pump Heads and Valves?
A small horizontal machine in the Hybrid PH or E Series range covers quills, foot valves and small heads. Larger heads step up to the C or H Series, always with the screw chosen for the resin. How Is the Material Chosen for Chemical Dosing Parts?
By the chemical. Hypochlorite, acids and antiscalants each rule out different resins, and compatibility should be checked at storage temperature, not room temperature. PVDF is used where the chemical is aggressive, PP and PVC where compatibility allows. Can PTFE or POM Parts Be Moulded on the Same Machine?
PTFE cannot be injection moulded, so PTFE seats and liners are machined. POM moulds well but is attacked by hypochlorite and acids, so it suits only parts kept out of the dosed chemical.
What Does PVC or PVDF Need From the Machine?
Both need a corrosion-resistant screw, barrel and nozzle, accurate barrel heating and short residence time. Overheated PVC releases acidic gas and leaves burn marks, so purge before and after each run.Can Pratishna Recommend a Machine for My Dosing Pump Part?
Yes. Share the part drawings, chemicals dosed, resins, part weights, mould sizes, cavity counts and monthly volume, and Pratishna Engineers will recommend a suitable machine and barrel set.Does the Machine Suit Other Chemical Handling Parts Too?
Yes. Machines of this class also mould vacuum breakers, softener valve internals, fluid connectors and rotameter bodies, provided the screw and barrel suit each resin.
